BTEC HIGHER NATIONAL LEVEL 5
The ICEC Children First Training centre has recently been accepted to run the BTEC Higher National Level 5 in ChildCare.
A Higher National Certificate (HND) is a higher education/further education qualification in the United Kingdom. This qualification can be used to gain entry into universities, and is considered equivalent to the second year of a three year university degree course.
The attainment level is roughly equivalent to a second year of university, a Diploma of Higher Education, but in some cases may be marginally below that of a bachelor's degree. An HND takes two years of full-time study, or one year full-time following successful completion of a Higher National Certificate. Part-time study takes longer.
This course provides a broad foundation of knowledge and skills required to work with young children, particularly in an educational setting. To support this, students undertake 800 hours of work placement and complete a professional placement log. This experience, combined with excellent tutor support, enables successful graduates to confidently undertake supervisory roles within childcare settings.
Students study nine core units and a choice of seven optional units.
CORE UNITS

Fee: 3700€. If you are a continuing student from Level 3 the fee will be 3000€
